Background

As a Senior Software Engineer, I led the development of UI systems, core gameplay features, and editor tools to support Netflix Stories from prototype throughg release. I regularily owned features and product level systems end-to-end, collaborating closely with other disciplines such as design, art, QA, and more to deliver polished performant experiences that supported millions of worldwide players.

Contributions

I worked across both tooliong and player facing features on Netflix Stories, carrying them through technical design, implementation, and ongoing support. My primary focus revolved around UI features, collaborating heavily with Art and design to tranlate mocks into fully polished in-engine screens, following common architectural patterns like MVVM and MVC. Some of my core contributions across Netflix Stories include:

  • ‣ Character Creators, Dialogue Systems, Player Progression
  • ‣ Achievements, Inventories, Minigames
  • ‣ Menus, HUDs, Cameras, Environments, Characters
  • ‣ Logic-graph system for defining narrative flows and custom editor windows to support features
  • ‣ Mentoring junior engineers
  • ‣ Active in code reviews and established coding standards
  • ‣ Post-launch live ops support
